Armonite is the instrumental rock musical collective led by composer Paolo Fosso. In 2018, Cleopatra Records released their
new album, "And the Stars Above".
With the track 'Blue Curaçao', Armonite have been awarded an Honorable Mention both in the Instrumental and Performance categories at the International Songwriting Competition 2017 from a top level committee including Tom Waits.

This time, there's really nothing to moan about! I've criticized the band's previous two albums for containing too much pointless improvisations, while, at the same time, I highly appreciated the brilliant songwriting. "Farmhouse Odyssey" have used the past three years wisely for perfecting the latter, and I like the way they root their music in the sound of the 70's, while avoiding the annoying stereotypes of this decade. I'm especially pleased to find a 12-minute track here, that doesn't sound like assembled from parts in the beginner's prog construction kit.

The lyrics alone are outstanding. The album doesn't "flow" as good as their latest album Amazingous, but instead offers more experiments and stays even more quirky. A track like "Teddy Bears" predates what will be A.M.A.Z.I.N.G a few years later. Really, a must-have for any fan of awesome pop/rock/exerimental stuff.
